League Game # 01
Tobermore United 3 v 2 Dundela
Half Time: Tobermore United 1 : 0 Dundela
First Half
Dundela arrived at Tobermore with a depleted squad, most noticeably was the inclusion of Assistant Manager Reggie Dornan as a Duns sub at the ripe
old age of 44.
Not taking anything away from the home side but Dundela looked the poorer side during the first half and they fell behind to a 17 minute Tobermore
goal from striker Dillon.
There was no further scoring before half time and to be honest the final whistle of the first period did not come soon enough for Mervyn Bell and
the Duns team.
Second Half
The home side were stunned in the opening minute of the second half when Duns, Craig Dougherty nipped in for the equaliser.
Verner replaced Bowers and Mark Anderson was replaced by Young, who himself was booked in the 65 minute.
Dillon restored Tobermore's lead in the 74 minute and eleven minutes later Crockett made it 3-1 to the Fortwilliam Park boys.
Duns sub, Verner pulled the score back to 3-2 in the 88 minute, but it was all to late for Dundela.
Dundela Line-Up:
Huxley, Bowers, Eccles, Lennox, McCormick, Anderson, Craig Dougherty, McCarroll, Elliott, Davies, Officer
